News from the Unscripted Self

The One who became Many is becoming One again.

ancient Hindu saying

What do those words on the masthead of this month’s issue mean?

The one who became many is becoming one again.

They speak of the part of you that is broken, abused and traumatised which is now ready to be healed. They speak too that the time has come to leave the past behind, to let go of those bruises, those hurts, and to integrate again.

Global consciousness is journeying on a similar path. There have been so many wars, so many killings, so much distrust leading to fragmentation. But behind all that a new current is moving, an unstoppable force of planet renewal, holism and integration. It is time to put on a new skin.

If you observe just one thing observe this: That what is happening in the world outside; the economy, your relationships, world affairs, what you see on the news, etc., is a reflection of what is going on inside you. Watch!

The one who became many is becoming one again.

In Hindu mythology the One of course is God, and God became the many to experience itself as other than itself. But after some time the great Brahma gathers all these fragments of itself to itself and becomes whole again. He awakens to unfathomable peace.

I call this Consciousness becoming aware of Itself. And I discuss this topic in more detail in The Consciousness Serious

Enter the darkness that you may see

Behind the fleeting forms of all that pass through our lives there is one Source, one remaining constant that is ever present. Look for this. Listen for it. Do so sincerely and you will find it because It is You.

The philosopher Hegel said that spirit is not single apart from the Many, rather it is the very process of the One expressing itself through the Many.

This is what gives you your individuality, your uniqueness. Celebrate that. You have a special dance that no other being in all the universes has. Never lose that dance. But also don’t get lost in it, that is, don’t forget you are also the One.

When we are all spirit we can be in the clouds and a little fuzzy!

When we are all body we are limited to what the senses show us.

Know that you are both and neither.

Now, never letting go of the fact that you are mud, glorious mud, soar beyond the reaches of knowing.

Many years earlier Aristotle said something along the same lines:

"All of the lower is in the higher but not all of the higher is in the lower".

What does this mean?

Well it’s simple really. The body contains fingers, but fingers don’t contain a body.

Sentences contain words, same thing.

So is it that the large, which contains the small is the greater? Yea?

No! in fact they are interdependent. For should all the words in the universe be lost there would be no sentences. Do not think that that which appears greater is necessarily so. Know that all the things you think are lost, forgotten or betrayed are still intact. You are not betrayed. Nothing is lost. You are loved Beloved.

The one becoming the many.

Mad, isn’t it. I love how science is discovering the veracity of the ancients truths contained in such works as the Upanishads and other Wisdom Teachings.
"All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration which holds the atom together. We must assume behind this force is the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." ~ Max Planck
