December is here and I'm building me a snowman!
If you’re reading this it’s Friday, December 21 and it means you’ve survived the Mayan prophecy!! Well done. We’ve been waiting for this, well really leading up to it for a very long time now, and to be honest I think it’s a bit of a red herring. But when so many minds buy into a particular belief then anything can happen. I never saw it as the end of the world, rather like going through a portal, leading to a new one. Obviously there’s been the collapse of the economic system, the family, the Church, and the old reliables. And a lot of people are hurting now. 2012 was one really tough year. I for one won’t be sorry to see it fade into the mists of history. So let’s see the change for what it really is: the beginning of a new day, a Golden Age if you like, a new reality where everyone will be loved without prejudice, where children can grow up without fear, where opportunities will be available to everyone regardless of their race, sex or the colour of their skin, where each person will wake up in the morning filled with gratitude, loving God, loving themselves, and loving each other.
Welcome to the new world.
And a big, big HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all who celebrate it; joy and good will to all men and women everywhere. May you know the peace of this very special time.
The last post of 2012 deals (surprisingly not!) with
I'd also like you to check out
The Supernatural Child,
for some reason it's a piece that reminds me of Christmas.
Poems by George.
At this time of year it's natural to reflect back on loved ones who went on their journey, leaving us saddened, not at their passing, but by their absence. In George I lost a good friend.
And for good measure why not have a look at
a great film of a few years back. Looking forward to seeing the Hobbit in January!
Please, please send prayers, healing, and loving thoughts to all the families, neighbourhood, and friends of those beautiful little children, and their heroic teachers in Sandy Hook School, Connecticut who died so tragically. This sort of thing must never happen again. Only by connecting with the part of us that is Unconditional Love will we end it.
Supernatural (in heroism and bravery) children they truly were.
Lots of changes planned for Soundings 2013. So see you all then.
Looking forward to it.
A new year is coming. Make yours a truly remarkable one.
That’s all for now folks.
Take care of yourselves and of each other.
Talk to you all next month.
